Appologies for the clickbait sounding title. I didn't really know what else to go with because this was a heck of a month with a lot of interesting things happening. So let's dive straight in.
I attended Colourfest in the UK at the start of June. I didn't know what to expect but I wanted to attend a festival that was not mainstream. I wanted something that had more of a focus on connecting people.
And that's exactly what I found. It's an alcohol and drug free festival about bringing people together, letting go and connecting.
To give you an idea, here'a few of the highlights:
...Dancing in the woods to a DJ. On the first night you can see there's a little apprehension about really allowing yourself to let go and dance when completely sober, by by the second day, everyone had realised no-one is judging them and so they let go. This is perfect for anyone who experiences Social Anxiety, the fear of being judged and watched can be huge but in this environment you really get a sense that everyone is in their own world and actually loving the fact that people are being themselves.
The next cool thing was contact dance. This is where you remain in constant contact with your partner, but your partner can change at any moment as it's a completely free form dance. You 'pivot' around your partner flowing where ever you decide to go.
And perhaps one of the biggest workshops was called 'Deep Soul Awakening'.
This was pretty challenging for almost everyone, not just those who had suffered Social Anxiety in the past. It involved finding a someone you don't know in the room and telling them, from the most vulnerable part of your heart, exactly what it truly desires.
It feels so vulnerable because you're opening up to them and telling them what you really feel. You know what I mean. In traditional society we're expected to say, yeah I'm good even when perhaps we're not. Or if we do say, I feel down and depressed, we're told to cheer up or perhaps people don't know how to deal with it.
Here you telling people the real truth and it's wasn't easy. There were a lot of tears from people in the room as they connected with and revealed their deepest fears and wishes to a complete stranger.
And yet, there is only love from the other person, there is complete acceptance and often the other person completely related and understood.
This really showed me the power of vulnerability and opening up and through these workshops I met and connected with some incredible people.
One of those people I ended up spending a lot of time with. In fact almost half of the past month I've been with an amazing woman. She's does incredible work with women helping them heal and become goddesses. Helping them find and connect to their own inner power.
We talked and connected a lot on philosophical understanding of life and I learned a number of tools and techniques that help make life easier, more fun, more enjoyable and fulfilling.
I'd heard about the Law of Attraction or the Power of the Universe a long time ago. And at first, I was sceptical but kept and open mind.
If you're not familiar with the law of the universe, it simply states that "what you think about, you create". In other words. If you think the world is a scary place, you will see the world as a scary place and attract scary things into your life.
Whether this is a universal law working on the unseen vibrations that are all around us, or simply our subconscious doesn't really matter. The important thing is in the results, and I got to see some pretty incredible results...
Here's an example. She was telling me how she always finds money and sure enough, in the first 6 days with here, while out walking we found £10 once and £20 once. She told me how when she find's money she buys a Lotto ticket with it and so I stated, I'm going to find a £1 coin so I can buy one.
During those few days I kept my eyes open looking for that coin but didn't find it. Then we parted ways and I went home and forgot about it. That weekend I had been invited to camp in the woods and while walking down the path, I noticed a £1 coin buried in the dirt. Coincidence? Maybe but still pretty amazing.
This is just a recent example of how the law of attraction has come into my life and if you're sceptical I recommend keeping an open mind and just looking into it a little. The more you understand how it works, the more it actually makes sense.
This woman who usually only works with other women, took me on a shamanic journey. It involves going deep into your subconscious to find your earliest memories of events that caused trauma and that when you revisit those memories, the trauma can be healed.
It was an incredible experience that has changed the way I feel, and helped me to make what I help my clients remember* even more valuable.
Finally I'm putting together a workshop in Norwich UK with everything I know about overcoming Social Anxiety. It's exciting and I can't wait to share it.
That wraps up this update.
*Rather than teach you, I help you remember. You already know everything you need to know about overcoming Social Anxiety. Unfortunately society and our own traumas condition us and teach us something else. So rather than teach you, I am helping you unlearn, or remember what you once already knew. That's what I love about the way I teach. Once you see it. You know it's the truth.
Ashley suffered with Social Anxiety for 15 years, he learned tools and techniques to help him quickly and while having fun overcome and heal his Social Anxiety. Now he is showing you how you can live free of anxiety and enjoy your life the way you want to.
